Why would anyone hoard Christmas cheer all to themselves? That must have been what Wieden + Kennedy London was thinking when they set up an interactive Christmas Card Making Machine in front of their office last year. When someone walked up, their photo was taken and their face was superimposed onto one of many lively characters. Who wouldn't want to be a Jolly Snowman, fresh-roasted turkey or Chanukah Pirate this time of year? The photos went online, making it easy to create a personalized card to send family, friends and Santa. W+K, way to spread the spirit of the season.

Life in a Shoe-centric Society

This campaign reminds me of something that would appear in Archive. These print ads are well-shot, highly stylized and feature a simple concept. Sure, they're subtle and the idea is far from revolutionary, but it's based in a truth. That women care about their shoes and love it when other people notice their shoes. (I can vouch this is true. I live with one of them and her revered shoe collection.)
